About Me

I am an artist who has worked with many different media. I paint, mainly in oils but also use acrylic and watercolour. Drawing is

fundamental to all the work.  I have a passion for textiles and have worked with many techniques - batik, screen printing, hand and

machine embroidery, appliqué, felt making and quilting.  I am also a printmaker.

I see textiles as an extension of my painting and I paint or draw with whatever medium is being used. My principle current way of working with textiles is to 'draw and paint' with a sewing machine on a base of collaged fabric or dyed light papers.
